FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. How much does it cost to attend STARBASE?
    • There is NO cost. Schools do need to provide and pay for transportation to and from the STARBASE N.H. facility.
  1. What grade levels can attend?
    • The STARBASE N.H. academies during the school year are for students who are in the fifth grade, with our curriculum carefully designed around this grade level. 
    • During the summer, the STARBASE N.H. Camps are for students in grades 3rd-8th.
  1. How many students may attend in a classroom?
    • A classroom may not be less than 20 students and no more than 35 during the school year. 
    • During the summer camps, the number of students range from 15-20 per camp.
  1. How many days do students attend STARBASE?
    • During the school year, students visit for five days, typically spread over five consecutive weeks, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. During the summer academies, students attend over the course of one week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
  1. Does STARBASE do one-day tours?
    • We value your interest, and we can arrange site visits and show the facility and talk more about the program.  To do so, please contact the STARBASE N.H. Director, Mark Campbell, to make arrangements.

  1. Does STARBASE have a cafeteria or a place to get food?
    • We do have a Dining Hall for the students to utilize during lunch.
    • All participants, including teachers, chaperones, and students, must bring their own non-perishable lunch and drink for each visit.
